The Celebrity Cake Decorating Competition

The T.J. Martell Foundation and Carymax, the publisher of Chocolatier, Pastry Art and Design and Frozen Desserts Magazines presented the Celebrity Cake Decorating Competition on Sunday, July 1, 2007 at the Gaylord Opryland Resort in Nashville, Tennessee. The competition is an event created in conjunction with the National Pastry Team Championship, a well-known annual pastry that brings together some of the finest pastry chefs in the United States.
The Celebrity Cake Decorating Competition features six (6) country music celebrities and their partners and six (6) cake decorators to compete to help raise vital dollars for the T.J. Martell Foundation. Each team will design a cake with a theme from a country music song that the celebrity on the team is known to have recorded. Two awards will be given: A People’s Choice Award selected by the consumers watching the competition and the Best of Show Award selected by judges made up with key media representatives.
